the Lincoln club , this year , returned to his
home in Cedar Bluffs , last week.
David Boyer has returned from Oklahoma ,
where he has been working the last year. lie
has been sick with malarial fever.

of public instruction , delivered an interesting
lecture to all , last Saturday evening ,

Oklahoma , this week. Ile expects to farm in

C. B. Gray , candidate for clerk of the district -
trict court , was here over Sunday andMon.

We will have another lecture from Dean
McBrien of Orleans ; subject , "Chattanooga
Convention and Battle Fields" , some evening
in the last week in October. We do not know
the exact date.
TYRONE ITEMS.
Rev. R. H. Chrysler is our new minister.
Lida Borkinan is very sick with typhoid
fever.
G. W. Kimpton , our road boss , is doing
some good work.
Dr. Frank Johnson of Wilsonville has been
visiting the sick here.
C.SBlairisgetting his new house plastered
and expects his faintly back from Iowa , soon ,
where they are visiting.
Florence Moore , after being near to death
from typhoid fever , improved some , but is now
sufferingfrom a relapse and is very sick.
Fully nine tenths of the Republicans here
would endorse the views of the Box Elder
correspondent in denouncing the use of liquor
by candidates and others in order to influence
votes. No good citizen of any party will cast
his vote for such a candidate if he knows it.

James Reslt has fall listed nearly , all of his
stubble ground.
Eugene Dunham was rustling around on
official business , Monday.
James Boatman and wife and L. A.Steph-
ens and tivife visited at Dr. Critser's , Sunday.
Mr. Burns was over from Ash Creek , Sun-
day. ! le came to bring his daughter over to
her school in the Cain district.
Quite a party of young people called at the
home of Frank Cain , Friday evening , and
_ made things lively for a few hours.
Clifford Dunham had quite a misunder-
standint' with a vicious bull Saturday , in
which the animal came out second best.
G. C. Boatman says he will accept the challenge -
lenge from his opponent on the Prohibition
ticket to discuss the issues of the day , and
fixes the time at any time in t9oo , and place
Chicago.
RED WILLOW.
Charlie Schaefer was suddenly called to
Curtis , last Friday.
Nathan ' 1'ubbs has been excavating a large
cave for Mr. Kummer.
A literary was organized at Red Willow
school house , last Wednesday evening.
Jakie Longnecker'gave the V. P. C. E. an
interesting account of the convention at Nebraska - 1
braska City , on last Sabbath.
The Miller brothers and a few of their
neighbors have been engaging in a series of
coon hunts. A number of coons were caught
and they are now on track of larger game.
