Since 1878 there havebeen nine epidemicsof dysentery in different parts of the country in which Chamberlain's Colic , Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy was used with perfect suc- cess. Dysentery , when epidemic , is almost as severe and dangerous as Asiatic cholera. Heretofore the best efforts of the most skilled 'physicians have failed to check its ravages ; thus remedy , however , has cured the most malignant cases , both of children and adults , and under the most trying conditions , which proves it to be the beat medicine in the world for bowel complaint. Dated at McCook Nebraska on the 8th day of August , 1895. J. W. Hupp. Nebraska's Condition of Crops. Iti view ofall that has been said of Nebraska's outlook for a bountiftil crop of corn and small grain , it might be interesting - teresting to the people of McCook and the farmers of this vicinity to know the real outlook for a crop in a great many of the southern and southeastern coun- ties. ties.In In a journey from McCook , to Ravenna - na , Buffalo county , Nebr. , via Lincoln , the following counties are passed through : Red Willow , Furnas , Harlan , Phelps , Kearney , Adams , Clay , Fillmore - more , Saline , Lancaster , Seward , York , Hamilton , Hall and Buffalo ; fifteen counties in all. Of course nearly all the people of McCook know the condition of crops in Red Willow county ; corn lateen on account of drouth in the early part of the summer , but will make an abundant - ant crop if another rainfall or two occurs and the frost does not kill it. Small grain is light , however , but will undoubtedly - doubtedly yield over half a crop. Passing - ing from Red Willow into Furnas county - ty the crops present nearly the same general aspect. But the sod corn ( and there is a considerable amount of it ) is small and yellow. From Furnas county we cross the northwestern corner of Harlan county into Phelps county and from there to Kearney county where the outlook for a good crop of corn is not so sure , rain being badly needed. Going through Adams and Clay counties we passed into Fillmore county and here the report of three or four weeks ago , stating that corn was burning up , was verified. Field upon field of corn , with leaves so crisp they would burn , met the eye , and many were the exclamations of surprise and sorrow from the passengers. But forty or fifty miles farther east the corn was green , showing that it was only - ly a narrow belt where the hot winds had swept. From Fillmore to Buffalo county there is not much change , corn looking especially well at Grand Island. But in Buffalo county , especially in the northern part and in the southern part of Sherman county , these two counties adjoining , for a region about ten miles square , corn is almost if not entirely burned up and small grain yielding very light. , One farmer had some wheat that tinned out all the way from three to eight bushels per acre , and his oats averaged - eraged about 15 bushels to an acre. One of the largest yields was a small patch of about an acre , yielding 50 bushels - els of oats. But this region or drouth does not include a vast territory. But notwithstanding all the troubles Nebraska - ka farmers have experienced this year , the indications for a splendid crop of corn were never better and once more Nebraska can hold her own as a "corn- producer" . 11I. T. Land ! Land ! Land ! I have the largest list of lands on my books of any agency in southwestern Nebraska , and all of these lands can be bought right and at prices that will make the purchaser money. But in addition to my regular list I have a few tracts upon which I took options , last spring , and for the next 6o days I can sell these lands at dry weather prices. There are some very fine alfalfa lands among them. C. F. BABCOCK. Office on Main st. , opposite hotel. Machine oils at McConnell's. ORDER TO CREDITORS.
