PIPER , of Harlan. For Auditor of Public Accounts , EUGiNEMoORE , of Madison. For Treasurer , J. S. BARTI.EY , of Holt. For Commissioner , . H. C. RUSSELL , of Colfax. For Attorney General , A. S. CHURCHILL , of Douglas. For Superintendent of Public Instruction , II. R. CORBETr , of York. For Congressman-Fifth District , \v. E. ANDREWS of Adams County. For Senator , 29th District , F. M. RATH BUN of Frontier county. For Representative , JOHN J. LAMBORN , of Indianola. For Treasurer , HENRY H. BERRY , of McCook. , For Attorney , HARLOW h ; KEYES , of Indianola. For Coroner , DR. A. W. IIoYT , of Bartley. For Surveyor , EDGAR S. HILL , of Indianola. DON'T you know that it is different - ferent "when you have iio wheat to grind. " PUT auI K after John Lamborn's name and secure a republican U. . S. senator. 16 to 1 corn plowing isn't the thing , as Andrews clearly demonstrated - strated in his speech here , last Friday. It's too free. 1 THE opportunity is now present- , 1 i ed for the Fifth district to redeem H itself. Vote for Andrews and labor - ; ' bor earnestly for his election. Vie- l 1 tory is in sight. ' AN K after the name of F. M. 1 'S ' . . : Rathbun means not only a vote for 't ! ' a republican U. S. senator , but 1 will to that extent mean the selection - tion of a capable and honest state senator from this district. i TEE TRIBUNE begs to be excused t , , 1 from joining in this vociferous hue and cry about the impending menace to our state's credit. Firstly - ly , because we don't believe it. And again because we are not disposed - posed to encourage the calamity howling business. The republican state ticket will be elected upon a more honest issue than calamity howling. It is not and should not be necessary. Stand by the republican - lican nominees because they are good men aid republicanism right. I THE Lincoln Journal is evidently - ly under contract to make of his honor , Judge D. T. Welty of thei t 14th judicial district , a genuine i 1 pop martyr. It is simply making a great ado about nothing , misrepresenting - resenting the facts , abd wasting valuable space. When the matter is reduced to its last analysis it will be found that the judge has simply used transportation that was tendered him ; that he has fired a court reporter he ought to 1 have dispensed with sooner ; and I that's about all. Even a populist judge is entitled to fair treatment. As to his using free transportation , the judge 'will have to account to his party for that breach of faith. WHILE we do not intend to belittle - little the importance of the issues of the state campaign , we feel it 0111 duty to especially urge upon the people of the Fifth district the and importance paramount over-reaching - portance of the issues of the congressional - gressional campaign. The success of Andrews is of vaster meaning b and value to us than the simple distribution of the local loaves and fishes , however closely the latter may appeal to our business sense. Hence we urge that while the state ticket is being pushed with 1 a vigor that means success , th at the congressional nominee's candidacy - didacy be forwarded with equal energy and'determination ; and the Fifth district will then swing into line and make Nebraska's representation - sentation ; in , the. lower ; houst3 at Washington solidi'rreubhcan. . THE NOMINEES. Bartley Inter dcean. The reports from a number o f counties in this congressional dlis- trict are very favorable for W. E. Andrews , republican nominee. Attorney Keyes has an excellent reputation as a man , lawyer , coun- seller and judge. He will be a very competent and careful county attorney. Dr. A. W. Hoyt , the republican candidate for coroner , is not an old resident of the county , but lie is making a good reputation and is worthy of your vote. E. S. Hill is one of the pioneers of the county , and although not strong physically his many friends think lie will carefully'direct , all the business of the surveyor's office. office. We We have heard a number of voters speak favorably of Samuel Premer for commissioner. He is competent and will faithfully look alter the interests of the county and also of the tax payers. When in Cambridge we heard a number of persons who know F. M. Rathbun speak very favorably of him and they want him elected senator from this district. He is an intelligent , level-headed farmer who will carefully look after the interests of all occupations. Every useful and honorable occupation - cupation should be represented in our state legislature , hence the voters of this county should sea to it that J. J. Lamborn is elected. He is an active , intelligent business - ness man who will have an influence - ence there with the other levelheaded - headed , intelligent representatives who will favor and work for all just laws and needed reforms. A VOTE for John Lamborn will be a vote to put and to keep Neb - b raska in line. WHAT ails Beaver City , Merwin , that all the young fellows are running - ning away from home ? A VOTE for Harlow W. Keyes will be a vote to place in office a man of unquestioned integrity and ability. r AT Holdrege recently , McKei- ghan , with a characteristic grin , felt impelled to credit the democracy - racy of the Fifth district with at east horse sense enough to endorse him. Isn't this enough to make the defenseless dead turn over in is unhallowed grave ? Resent the nsult by voting for Andrews. ANDREWS will defend the farmer - er against the sugar trust , the laboring - boring man against the foreigner , the old soldier against the prejudice - dice of his enemies , the industries - tries of America against England , and the Fifth district against the world. Vote for W. E. Andrews. . . The history of the past , the depression of the present and the hope of the future demand the election of republicans to congress. Mr. Andrews' loyalty and fidelity to the interests of the people , his sterling honesty and integrity , his acknowledged ability , and his high moral character urge the necessity of his election. He will honor the confidence of the people with respectable - spectable conduct and faithful public - lic servicA.-Beaver City Tribune. TY RONE. Bunch grass is ripe.
