Spring time and seeding once again.

Mr. Williams, formerly of Illinois,
will occupy the Bennett farm the com
ing season.
Hiram Cooley will look after Joseph
Williams’ interests on the farm the
coming season.
Frank Everist bought a large num
ber of stock hogs, last week, and will
feed them at his Danbury farm.
Elder Noe is engaged in revival work
and is having some very successful
meeetings. May the good work go on.
Lewis Fauss is convalescent. He
had a very severe tussle with the rheu
matism, bnt will doubtless be around
again in a few days.
Lyman Ferris, brother of Charles,
came in from Iowa and spent a few
days with us. He has many pleasant
recollections of his early Red Willow
county days.
Supt. Bayston called on our school
last week. His presence is always
encouraging and seems to stimulate the
scholars to active study. Very few
people realize how much work there is
connected with this office.
We have already noticed a number
of prairie fires. The severest penalties
should he meted out to the authors of
these dangerous and destructive fires.
One or two examples would have a ten
dency to make people more careful.
