Underwood, on Sunday, December 10th, a daughter. Frank Everist’s new house is almost completed and he is now fencing and improving his lots. Dr. Matson, who has been visit ing his brother in this vicinity, returned to his home in Lincoln, December 19th. The thirteen year old son of Mr. Eppler, living about eight miles west of here, died of membraneous croup, December 11th. Dr. DeMay has had a great num ber of patieuts, the past few weeks. We are pleased to learn that most of them have recovered. Frederick C. D. Nulk died of consumption, at his home five and one-half miles south of this place, Sunday, December 10th. The people of Danbury gave Mrs. Joe. Dolph a surprise party, Tuesday eveniug. Every one ap peared to have a pleasant time. A. C. Furman has put a stock of musical instruments, stationery, notions, etc., into the building re cently occupied by his photograph gallery. | On Monday last J. O. Hoffman of Oi leans and Dr. W. A. DeMay of Danbury operated on Mrs. S.R. Messner for hemorrhoids. The operation was very skillfully and successfully performed. The aged molherof Jacob and William Kan del is stdl with them. There was an Endeavor social at Mr. R. F. Loomis' on Saturday last, pronounced by some the best yet held. There will be a Christmas tree at the Red Willow school house on Monday night, under auspices of the Y. P. S. C. E. Owens Longnecker accompanied his rela tives to Kentucky, where, it is hoped, he will be benefitted, and will return a well boy. The Endeavor society is in good working order, and the interesting meeting on last Sun day evening is due largely to the efficiency of Miss Effie Loomis, its new president. Mrs. Longnecker, and her son Benj. Long necker, of Kentucky, made a short visit to the son and brother, John Longnecker. The bro thers have not seen each other for 22 years. Occasional.
