Every entry is filled. The paint factory is running again. Jacob Lerch is the boss. 0. D. Mosher and wife started for the great fair, Tuesday morning. J. J. Lamborn and wife returned from the World’s fair, first of the week. The A. O. U. W. lecture, Monday night, by Rev. J. G. Tate, was quite well attended. C. W. Beck went to Lincoln, Tuesday night, as a representative to the Grand lodge, I. O. O. F. Patrick H. Callan and Miss Kate Behnke were married, at the Catholic church, Monday morning. License was granted, on the 10th, for the marriage of C. J. Snell and Miss Nannie J. Kipp, both of McCook. License was issued, October 13th. for the marriage of Mr. Lorenzo D. Newberry and Miss Jessie Wright, both of Danbury. A. R. Mitchell has returned from the east. lie left his family in In diana and expects to sell out here and return and dwell with the Hoosiers. The young people of our city gave Miss Nannie Akers a surprise party, last Friday night, that being her 20th birthday. She received several very valuable presents among which was a fine watch and ehain. The Republicans of Indianola pre cinct held a caucus. Tuesday evening, and nominated a full precinct ticket as follows: For assessor, James Hether ington: for justices of the peace, J. S. Phillips and R. S. Baker; for consta bles, H. Crabtree and C. E.
