INDIANOLA ITEMS. Miss Dye is teaching in district 2-1, on the Beaver. Dr. J. M. Brown moved into the Murtha house, Monday. Itev. J. M. Mann transacted business at the court house Wed nesday. Miss Lou Beardslee has return ed home from from her visit in Denver. I. W. Stephens and wife of Mount Zion, were shopping here on Tuesday. C. B. Gray spent Tuesday in this burg. We suspect he talked politics a little. Mesdames Keyes and Quick drove to McCook, Tuesday, on a shopping expedition. Wednesday was pension day and made some soldiers happy. Others would like to be. Nearly all of our politicians went to Mccook, last Saturday, to attend the two great conventions. Geo. W. Short and family re turned from the world’s fair, on Tuesday. Geo. thinks it is im mense. The Leland hotel is being re modeled and repaired, which will add much to the ccmfort of ye public. AVe are glad to see Pap Kilgore able to come and sign his pension voucher. He is one of the old vets, who is entitled to all he gets. Geo. AV. Rodgers, of Frontier county, a delegate to the Republi can state convention, came in on AVednesday, and took No. 4, for Lincoln. Married, Oct. 3rd, 1893, by Charles AV. Beck, county judge, Mr. Charles Thompson, of Dan bury, to Miss Nettie Pricer, of Lebanon. A petition was filed in county court for the appointment of James Hetherington as administrator of the estate of A. E. Boynton, late of this county. Miss Lena Beck commenced a six months term of schcol in district No. 37, and Miss Jennie Holland in district No. 34, on Monday morning. A. G. Dole filed papers for a suit in county court, on Oct. 2, against the Minneapolis Office and School Furnishing Co. for balance due him on commission. Landlord Short has added two more coats of paint, to the front of the Sargent House, which makes the surroundings much more home like. Jake is having a good trade. J. AV. Dolan, C. AV. Beck and J. J. Lamborn have gone to the Republican state convention. Mr. Lamborn will join his wife in Iowa and go on to see the sights at the great fair. Rev. Lisle has taken a two weeks vacation; he left on Mon day morning for his home in the north part of the state. Rev. J. M. Mann will fill his pulpit while absent. Wm. Brezee, of whom we men tioned last week, being kicked by a horse, has been very bad for the last week, and confined to the house. He is seventy years old, and draws §4.00 per month pen sion. It is with satisfaction that the Bur lington Route makes the following an nouncement regarding this year’s Har vest Excursions. The dates which have been fixed for theseexcursions are August 22, Septem ber 12, and October 10. On them, all railroad agents west of St. Louis and Chicago will sell round-trip tickets to Burlington Route stations in Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, South Dakota and Wyoming at extremely low rates. Tickets will be good for twenty days and will admit of stop-over on the going trip at any point west of the Missouri River. These facts are brought to the notice of the residents of the different States reached by the Burlington Route in order that they may inform their friends in the East that, during the next few months, three unequalled opportunities of coming West will present themselves.
