Our schools are now placed upon the
accredited list of the University , and
pupils completing a prescribed course
of study here will be admitted without
examination into the second year of the
University Latin School. This fact
being known the usefulness of the
school will be extended , and its sphere
widened , by attracting such as may seek
to avail themselves of the advantages
it offers. With a judicious selection of
teachers who are impelled by a love
for the work , and who are abreast with
the progress of educational methods ,
with the cordial co-operation of an effi
cient Board of Education , seconded by
a healthy public sentiment , our schools
may accomplish the mission for which
they were organized , and be a credit to
our thriving city. I would recommend
for your consideration the publishing of
a catalogue , which not only serves as an
advertising medium , but fosters a
spirit of pride in our educational inter
ests. They are other matters needing
the attention of the Board , which will
be submitted at its next regular ineet-
ing. Eespectfully , "W. S. WEBSTER ,
