After the ceremony , a well-filled table was shurn of its glory by those who sat down to it. After sup per followed innocent games and music Wit and humor ran high , and often the shouts and laughter filled the house. Everybody enjoyed the hours as they flew ; and. crossing the line of the old year , began the new , in the midst of mirth and song , and certainly surround ed with plenty.
