THE CQtflTXJWSPiUlLiOAN ; acted as hostess and furnished , entertainment for her many little friends. A small represen tative of the Prairie Center school was present and saluted usvith their friendly yell which we accepted as complimentary and answered with ours , A dainty dinner was served and ice cream and refreshments. Sat * urday evening was spent in a good sociable manner and Miss Rains took us each riding. Sunday morning with her swell buggy and horse. Here's our thanks to Miss Rains. By one who went in the wagon. Rex Bell entered the 4'.h grade Monday. Ue is staying with nis grandmother. Perhaps its a good thing that the farmers didn't plant thcit gardens if its going to snow in April. We observed on our trip tt Prairie Center that frost had killed the pears and peaches and most of the fruit. Miss Rains is fixing a seed corn tester for"us. . We would like every farmer in the neigh borhood to send us an ear of lite seed corn and we'll test it fo him. Orlcllo News. Jennie Edwards spent Satur day and Sunday at home. Jim Houts has returned from and/will rema here for a few weeks.- . ' ' * * A drama entitled "Because I love you" will be rendered in Ansley early next month. H. A Alberts is on the water wagon. He sprinkles the streets of Ansley three times a day. Attorney Sitnou Cameron of Broken Bow was a recent Ansley visitor. Where is the school building that should be in progress of er ection at this time. Surely we need it. We are without electric lights now that the plant burned. The situation will soon 'be relieved for a new plant will be installed soon as several parties are figur ing1 on the deal. It is to be hoped that some private indi vidual or Company will under take the deal. The city election Tuesday re mlted in the re-election of w. A Housel , A. P. Pinkley and A. Dt witt for city dads. Register of Deeds , Georg Porter , was in town recenth coking after and improving hib property here. Grston , on "Yosemite , " was one of the most eloquent , instructive and enter taining we ever heard. Owing to the inclemency of the weather the hall was not as well filled as it should have been , but the best judges our city affords were there and everyone was well pleased.
