carried that the county clerk be
instructed to furnish EJmerson R
Purcell with a certified copy of
the request of petitioners permitting
mitting- the retnonstrators to
offer evidence and etc , together
with the Action of the board
thereon.
The chairman appointed super
visors Grint , I < ee and Cushman
to investigate and report upou
the petition for the proposed
new county of Iliggins.
The balance of the forenoon
was spent in committee work
aud at 12 m the board took a re
cess until 1pm.

the territory hereinafter describ
ed and sought to be detached
from Custer county , do respect

body for the erection of a new
county out of the territory now ' \

submitted to a vote of the people
ple at the next general election
and that you call and order such
election. The new county shall
be known as lliggins. county and

Commencing at the northeast
corner of Custer county , Nebras
ka , theuce running west on the
county litre about 29 miles to a
point in the ceuter of the Middle
Loup river , where the said river
crosses and intersects with the
couuty line , thence south and
cast down the ceuter of the Mid
dle Loup river to a point , where
the river intersects with range
line between ranges 20 and 21 , i
