Mr. and Mrs. Grove Joyner are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby girl at their home last Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. I. A. Coleman , drove to Mem a Sunday to spend Easter with their son , E. M. Cole- man. Russell Richardson who has been attending a business college in Quincy , Ills , returned houic Saturday. In the absence of Snyder Bros. from town , M iss Christine Springer has been acting as tem porary clerk. Mrs. Tom Fiulcn returned last week from a three weeks vibil with relatives in Milwaukee , Wiscsnsin. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Watts and daughter came up from Lin' ' coin Saturday and are the guest ; of her parents. The newly elected Supt , of th < Public schools , R , Elliot spen1 a few days in the Bow the latte part of last week. Mrs. W. A. George left Sun day evening for Boston in re sponse to a telegram that her mother was very sick. Ilarve Andrews came down from Anselmo Sunday to attend the Knight Templars' scrviccs'at the Presbyterian church. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Pigman are enjoying a visit this week from Mrs. Pigman's sister , Mrs. K. II. Kueppcr of Kearney. Hank Ash has been appointed Deputy assessor for Lillian pre cinct to succeed George Dewey who has gone to Arkansas. Alton Martin , who is attend ing the Kearney Military Acad emy , came home Saturday to spend Easter with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. John ll. Cross of Ansley were in the city the irst of the week visiting their eon , W. J. Cross and his family. Kalph Beckley. who has been employed in Lee's Drug store , eft with his wife , the first of the week for Lincoln and points ! n Iowa. The County Board of Super visors will meet again on April 20th. The contract for building the county bridges will be let at this session. The Misses Kalherne Dierksand Phoebe Folsom , after a few days vi.iit with Mrs. Joe Molynex , re turned to their home at Lincoln , Saturday. County Assessor Fostet went over to Oconto and Callaway last Friday to visit the deputy asses sors in Woodrivcr and Delight precincts. Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Pike of near Gates , were Broken Bow visitors until Sunday , where they left for their new home in Bellin ham , Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Lcn Wilson , Mr. and Miss D.iy Cutler , Mr. and Mrs. Corlett , Mr. Humphrey and Miss Mary Morgan , came down from Merna , Sunday. Edward Robinson and familv moved to Linscott the first of the week. Mr. Robinson traded his residence property here for a ranch near LSnscott. When John Butler's case came up in County Court last Thurs day a continuance was taken. Butler is charged with running a gambling house in the city. C.C. AUDREV , Pastor. DEATH NOTICF. The five weeks old child of Mr , and Mrs. Frank Kelsey , died quite suddenly on Monday after noon. The funeral services were held at the house Tuesday after noon at 2 o'clock. The Rev.
