said day. said Elizabeth Short , together with
her hUHband , John F. Short. entered Into a
contract with Harry Church , whereby they
agreed to sell tu Harry Church said quarter
section of land. and also a quarter bectlon
owned by the salll John F. Short : 'l'hat said
contract was In writing and provided that
the said Harr ) ' Church should pay for the
half section ot land , Including the land lJe.
lunging to Elizabeth Short , 1jI0ooO ! , iI' , UOO of
which was paid in cash at the time , the
balance to be paid In cash and by note and
mortgage on March 1. 1001.

Short died in Custer County. Nebraska , and
