Last spring , while looking

trotting ostrich and wrQte 'V. 'V.
Ford , t11e owner , for terms and

at the fair. In reply they re-

'believe Mr.Ford , would perform
his share of the contract , just as
he had done at. the places to
which he referrcd , and. as the
secretaries of { he associations 'at
these places stated that Ford I
had been there wit the ostrich
and that the performancc was
all and more than claimed for it ,
the contract was signed without
further demand for a guarantee
of appearance. 'l'he contract ,
