finished kinds. Good fatted
stock would meet with ready sale
at prices around $6.00 to $6.25 ,
witlt fair clases at $5.25 up to
$6.00. The very best kinds of
short-feds are selliag around
$5.00 and down as low as $3.95 ,
owing to flesh and qua1ity. The
cow market was a little slow all
last week , and while the better
stoc held 1ot far from steady ,
medmm and common classes suffered -
fered a reaction of 10 to 15 cents.
' } 'here is a growing inquiry
for the light and medium weight
stock steers and these have sold
better tlte past week than for
some time. Good yearlings sold
around $4.15 last week , which is
about as high as any number in
these ages have gone. Good
kinds of fecding steers are sell.
ing at $3.75 to $4.25 , fair classes
below $3.75.
The hog market has struck a
very weak spot , and the general
trend of values is lower. 'l'he
