Buff Cochin Chickens. Mrs. France Moore can justly boast of having the tinest Buff Cochin chickens the country af- fords. For several years she has made a specialty of raising Buff Cochin chickens and improving her flock from year to year. Hecently she purchased two fine cockrels of F. F. Devore , the famous breeder of Valley , Nebr. , at a cost of $30.00. One of these chickens took first prize at the State Show at Lincoln , the Poultry exhibit at South Omaha and at Valley , Ne- braska. His sire took third prize at the World's Fair at St. Louis. This prize winner cost Mrs , Moore $20.00. The other cockrel which had not competed for prizes and thus had none to his credit is a fine bird. He cost her $10.00. Mrs. Moore has sold off her old flock until she now has only " three dozen hens , but she hopes "to be able to supply the trade this fall with a better grade of Buff Cochin chickens than ever before.
