Douglas Grove , Grant , Elim
anVayne assessor's have completed -
pleted their work and turned
over their books to County asses-
sr II aumont. The land va1ua-
tion varies considerable , especially -
ly hetween the east and southwest -
west part of the county , Grant
Elim and Wayne are not far
apart. Grants average is $5.74
per acre , Elim $5.28 and \Vayne
S5.02 Douglas Grove's average is
$9.17.
As property will be assesced at
but one-fifth of the value found
by the assessor the 1eved tax can
not be very high even at the
present levy. The probabilities
are the present levy can be lowered -
ed as much more personal property -
ty will be listed this year than
was formerly.
