Old settlers claim it Willi t11e worst the country ever experienced. The inspector of rural routes is bi1led to be here on Thursday for the purpose of inspecting the route runDing out of this city for which application was made some two months ago. It is thought that the route as mapped out wi1l "pass muster" with but few , if any , changes. It is reported that another brick building - ing is to grace Kimhall street in the near future , to be located just west of the Cnllawny State Dank. However. the report - port is too good to believe until work nctual1y begins on the building. It is said that it will be 40x75 feet , and will be composed of three rooms , one to be occupied by H. H. Andrews , another by the Seven Val1eys Dank , and t11e ot11er by the postoflice. John McDonald. one of the earty pioneers - neers of this part of the county , who reo ccntly made a trip to the Oklahomll country , is advertismg the sale of his personal property for Thursday of this I week , with a view to moving to U at i country to locate. He. together with his two sons , expect to take land and combine - bine farming with stock raising. We venture the assertion that thcy wi11 re- . turn to Nebraska inside of the next cleo ca e. Although the majority of the citizens voted to na\'e a saloon in thll city tWs year , there seems to be no smaU amount of trouble in finding a location for the institution. Apparently no one wishes the saloon to be'located near their place of business , and there are blue IItreaks of indignation flying in every direction whenever a possible 10Clltion is mention. ed. However , the town has been fuU of saloon men looking for 0. location , and it is hinted that two "hel1 holes" will be the rellult of the late election , pro\ ' ding a location can be found for them.
