late campaign , we regret that
the committee were so short
sighted as to make it a county-
seat campaign leaving out the
live villages and their representatives -
tatives and we trust that this
sorry defeat will teach them a
much needed lesson that will be
hea ed in the future.
We attribute the efeat in the
last two elections an more especially -
pecially the last to the fact that
the republican part > are shrewd
enough to have a live paper , and
one that they support , in every
town of importance in the county
while the pop party have concentrated -
trated all their elT rts on one
paper at the county seat and do not

way , Merna , Sargent , Mason
