now have it , the real thing , a two-mile

be held at Broken Bow , will be the best
Custer county has seen in many years.
'l'he race track is in the pink of condition -
tion , and a large bunch of horses arc in
training at Brolcen Bow and in various
parts of Custer county for this event.

'l'he Fail' management announces that
there will be expended in premiums for
live stock , farm prodncts , poultry , fruit ,
culinary , needle work and the other va-
riolH departments , in racing and the
elegant line of free attractions , and also
in the various expenses of putting on
the 1903 Fair , over $3,500. . 'l'his means
a snccessful Ii'air , it means that everything -
thing that is advertised will take place ,
and that people who come , will be entertained -
tained as never before. No charge is
made this year for teams and saddle
horses to the grounds.

By one of the mORt daring aeronau ts of
the country will be a positive feature on
'l'hursday and li'riday afternoons. He
will leap from the clouds in his pam-
chute. 'l'hisattraction will not disappoint -
point you. 'l'he Balloon King ,
who malces the ascension , has the fincst
balloon in this counl1'yand claims to IrO
hgher ! than any living aeronaut. He
frequently goes above the clouds , and
will at this time if the day is favorable.
