'l'his will givt" an early fair , and will , no doubt , meet with the approval of those who always attend. The meeting - ing has generally been held at a later date , but last year's cold rains of the latter p rt of Sep. tember , greatly impaire.d its suc- cess. The fact that L. H. Jew- ett and E. R. Purcell , the old time president and. secretary , have again been induced to tale hold of the work this year will meet with general approval. Mr. Jewettl was president during 1897 , 1898 , and 1899 , . and Mr. Purcell was secretary for fh'c years prior to lfst year. 'rhe fact that during that entire time every fair met with marked success - cess and' tha t all premiums and expenses were paid in full each year has led the organization to believe that these two men in their old places would bring to the fair this year its old time I success. The premiums 1Il horses , cattle and hogs have been increased 50 per cent. , and special inducements - ments in farm products such as has never been olTered before indicate - dicate that the fair this year will be conducted with the vi w of taking care of the farm r as well as the race horse mall. Now if the management will get some real live attractions and put on a good street fair c\'ery night for the entertainm6nt of the younger generation the show will be worth g ing to see. What Broken Bow needs more than auything else is accommodations for the people. This thing of walking the streets all night isn't what it's cracked up to be. Get some tents and let the people come out. Calla.- w y is authority on camp meetings - ings and this is the only system. -Loup Valley . Queen. - - lIunc ) ' Ihuillick ] { ell b ) ' n ' ] 'I'l1iu. .
