Carr is quite sanguine that ill the I near future the D. & . M. R. R. will extend its line from Burwell to West Union. 14ast week he was visited by the fol1owing railroad officials of the B. & M. Geo. B. Harris , pres. j Howard Elliott , G. W. Holdrcdge , J. E. Calvert , E. Bignell , D. Miller , W. W. Ryder and V. O. English. W. H. Kimberley , Sunday. . School Missionary of Lincoln , made this office a friendly call yesterday in company with A. E. Danley of Axtell. Mr. Danley I will look after the Sunday School interests of this county for a time at leest for the I\-hssionary Union. We understand that Rev. Moss will resign as District Sunday School Missionary in the near future with the view of going into - to the ministery. . A special train came into Sar- gent last week , with the following - ing rail road officials : Geo. B. lIarris , Pres. , Howard Ellbt , G. W. Holdridge , J.E. . Calvert , E. Bignell , D. Miller , W. W. Ryc1er , and V. O. English. Of course , it was very climcult to learn just what the entir object of the visit to this place was , but cnough has leaked out to fix part of the work intended. It mal be taken as quite cetian that a hne will be run from Burwell to Broken Bow and pass , through Sargent. 'l'his will connect the. terminal points of the branch roads with 'the main line so that all freights from the west need not go by Aurora. It has been supposed that this road would be extended on up the river and connect with Anselmo or some town west , but since two passenger trains will be run both ways , daily to Alliance , . it is the intention to Itave one run through Sargent , and direct through the Bow. The train which comes by Sargent will have the round house at Sargent , and the fast train through Revanna will continue the round house there.
