During the last wcek in Mar ,
Mike Carro ! shipped sixt-six
cans of cream , while Howard
Kerr was a close second with 58
cans to his credit. 'l'his is a big
increase over the corresponding
week of last ) 'ear , when there
were only cleven cans shipped.
Burglars hroke into A. II.
Shepard's store 'l'hursday night.
Entrance was gained b ) ' hreak-
ing a window pane in a door at
the rear , and rcaching in and unlocking -
locking t11 , door. 'Vhen Ror
come down to open up in' the
morning he found a large'luanity
of dry gooc1s , clothing and shoes
scattered promiscuously over the
Hoor. He at once raised an
alarm and parties set out to truck
the thieves , hut without success.
It is supposed that they had a
.wagon near Muor's barn in whicb
to l ad the booty , as a pair of
pants and a jacket which they
dropped were found near the
fence east of the harn. Mr.
Shepard is unable to tell just
what his loss is. 'l'his i ! the
fourth time his store has been
broken into. Sheriff Armstrong
came down on the noon train
Friday but was unablc to obtain
a clue ; however Mr. Shepard is
of the opinion that the thieves
do not live verr far distance
from Ansler.

A few miles below Mason a cloud
burst caused the washout of the
railroad track , delaying trains ,
thc midnight passenger arriving
here at 8 o'clock this morning.
