Clarence Locke, Jr.
Clarence Virgil Locke, Jr., age
26 years, of Kansas City, Kans.,
was shot and killed by a police
officer as he and a companion
were surprised as they were tak
ing cash from the pockets of a
strongarm victim they had beaten
into insensibility.
He is survived by his father,
Clarence Locke, Sr.; mother, Mil
dred; step-mother, Mrs. Anna
Locke, all of Kansas City, Kansas.
His remains were forwarded to
the J. W. Jones Funeral Home of
Kansas City, Kansas, Saturday, De
cember 22, 1956 for services and
burial.

Robert W. Thornton, age 39
years, of SI19 Grace St., expired
Thursday, December 20, 1956 at a
local hospital.
He was an Omaha resident eight
years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
