American women can contrib ute to postwar economic welfare by conserving used kitchen fats, scraping every frying-pan, skim ming soups, melting down meat and table scraps. Help overcome the world-wide shortage of fats and oils by selling your used fat to your meat dealer. SPORTS Omaha Guide 2418 Grant Street Omaha, Nebraska Dear Sir: The City Council last Tue sday approved the placing of a plaque at the new Municipal Stadium by the Omaha Amat uer Baseball Association, Inc. On this plaque there will be inscribed the nams of all local amatuer base-ball players who mad the supreme sacrifice in World War I and World War II. As chairman of that comm ittee, we are anxious that there be no ommissions of names to be included on this plaque. So far we have the following list of names of amateur play ers killed in the World War. They are: Thomas Gurnett, the only player so far representing W orld War I list. The World War II list, includes: Nile Kin nick, Elmer Wachtler, Robert T. Haxon, Gene Ziesel, Geor ge Lynch, Edward Jelen, Nor ma Allan Grove, Ernie Weeks, George Surber, Robert Lee Gil lis, James Tourek, and Steve Griger. We earnestly request anyone to offer suggestions of names to be included on the plaque at an early date, as we plan on ordering the plaque and having it ready to be installed at the ceremonies opening the new stadium.
