While He Yet Spake; He Was Re
ceived Up”, text of our ministers in
spirational message filled with the
power of the Holy Spirit on Sunday
morning Sept. 28. This being our
, pastor’s last message of this confer
ence year; he was in his usual form
bringing to his capacity congregation
a sermon that reverated throughout
th eaditorium with its timely chris
tain God-fearing message.
His thoughts tor the day that pro
voke much thought on the part of
his congregation was as follows: “If
a man wants to keep in touch with
God, he has to battle everyday in
order to keep lus house clean with
in from evils without. It doesn’t mat
ter what a man Has done if he beers
the voice and answers; his sins will
be forgiven, and A man that rises by
his own God being his helper; his
foundation will be sounder than one
that has to be constantly held up by
the people.

Text Invitation to Burdened Souls.
After Jesus entered the world the poor
as well as the rich have an invita
tion to worship God. Christ’s invita
tion to a world that does not under
stand He says “If you are burdened
and heavy laden come to me and I
will give you rest.” Christ's invitation
is free and understandable. Rev.
Raines closed his sermon by singing
with the help of the congregation
“There is rest for the weary.”
There were three additions to our
