LABOR RESOLUTIONS SENT
TO CONGRESS COMMITTEES
New York, N. Y.,Apr 19th—The
NAACP Labor Department today
sent resolutions urging favorable
action on Fair Employment Pra
ctice Legislation, and opposition
to the Ball-Taft-Smith Bill and
the Case Bill, both anti-labor, to
each member of the House and
Senate labor committees. The res
olutions were passed at regional
conferences of the Association in
San Francisco, Calif., and Charl
eston, S. C., and represented the
view of delegates from twelve

We call upon the governors of the
states in this region to end this
practice. We instruct our Labor
Committees to inspect the offices
of the Employment service in their
