Mrs. Palms says that the Colored People of Texas have a wakened out of their long slumber and are working together from ev ery angle. Texas seems to be on the boom. VISITING SISTER Mrs. C. Claire Jenkins of 1S23 Boisenem, East St. Louis, is here to visit her sister, Mrs. Gracie Saun ders who is now a patient in Saint Catherine's Hospital. Mr. Saunders reports that Mrs. Saunders is doing fairly well at the present Mrs. Saunders says she appreciates the cards of thanks received from her many friends. I ask their continu al prayer. NICE LITTLE HOME Mrs. Emma Bell of 1527 Ave A, Council Bluffs, has a ' nice little home. She lives with her daught er, Miss Sylvia Brown and is mak ing a comfortable living. Mrs. Bell has one son in the army overseas, serving in Italy. He has been in the army four years. TABEH \ AC1.E BAPTIST MEMBER Mrs. J Turner of 1605 Ave. A., is a member of the Tabernacle Bap tist Church but has been confined to her home for sometime. It was nothing very serious. She hopes to be out soon. Mr. Turner hat worked for the UPRR for 33 years and still likes his job UNABLE TO ATTEND CHURCH Mr. Phillip H. Ford, 19 South 14th St., Council Bluffs, reports that he has been confined to his bed since ecember and has not been able to attend Church since he tak en ill. He is a member of the Bap tist Church and desires to be out but on account of illness he must I remain in bed I am very thank ful for their prayers and kindness WORKS FOR ICC' 30 YEARS Mrs. E. Golden, 24 North 16th has a very nice home. They have no children. Mr Golden works for the ICC and has been for 30 years and he reports that he thinks as much of his job now as the day he began working there. He is still going strong. Mrs. Washington of 5637 South 24th Street has been confined to her home for two weeks with the flu Mrs. Washington says that she re grets very much that she could not get to Church Sunday. I am al ways glad to go to my Church and meet with my Christian friends j Mrs Washington feels somewhat improved at this writing. Rev. Wm L. Farmer of 5629 So 24th Street, has lived in the city for 13 years, coming here from Grand Island of which place he was Pas tor After moving to Omaha he is now Pastor of People’s Mission 1710 North 25th Street.
