MICH.—Most women, when choosing furniturs for their home, like to pick out in dividual pieces to meet their per sonal requirements, to carry out their individual ideas. It is for this very basic reason that the "open stock" idea is growing in such popularity. This is true for both bedroom and dining room. And it is true when working out a room in modern style, or using tradi tional. period designs. up to a tew years ago, only the i wealthy could afford to select fur niture the “open stock” way. Then j several of the alert makers from : Grand Rapids broke away from the stereotyped “suite" idea, and put \ their designers to work working out correlated ensembles of very smartly styled “open stock" j groups. They were enthusiastical- I ly received over night. The de velopment of this idea has been the key to better taste and greater j economy. No one is forced to buy a whole suite. You can start with a few ‘good’ pieces, with the assurance ?f being able to add more later, as you desire. And you can choose just the size, function, and type of piece you want for your pur pose. Open stock—the idea stnrt ?d in Grand Rapids—is the only .vav to buy your furniture. DRINKING IT CAN BE DONE! Thousands h&Ye learned from me how I broke the whiskey spell.
