David St. Clair, Pastor “In the beginning was the word and the Word was with God.” Attendance was very good throughout the day and the pastor brought his appreciative member ship, visitors and friends soul stir ring messages at both the morning and evening worship. Many good' thoughts were brought forth that provided much food .'or serious meditation. Prominent among these was that the Church is not a place of amuse ment, not a cafe or a place to appease one’s appetite, but a place where one gets their mind on spir itual things. Communion was given at the close of the evening worship. Again a good time, rejoicing in the God of our salvation was had by all. Special effort for the month is the trip to Canaan. Among those who are ill are: Sis. Gertrude Alexander of Kansas City, Kans., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Betts who under went a major operation at the Im manuel hospital last Friday. At this writing, her condition was1 reported good. Sis. Corrine Harris, who has been a house guest at the parsonage, left Monday morning for her home in Liberty, Mo. Visitors and friends are always welcome to all of our services. Everybody is invited to come out and worship with us.
