Cities and towns all over Ameri ca, faced by public power issues like Omaha’s are defeating political management and control of their electric systems by overwhelming majorities. El Paso, Texas, with a 4 to 1 bit ter defeat of public ownership is only one of the attitude of the peo- | pie everywhere. The New York Times, in a recent article, stated that with the exception of a small comunity of about 1,000 population every- city- and town that had public ownership elections during this ! year, defeated public ownership and voted to continue the business j management of their electric serv ice by companies similar to Nebr aska Power Company. Omahans also will vote over whelmingly to keep Nebraska Pow- | er.
