wonderful Bible lesson and a verv
interesting lesson was explained
by our able chaplain Sister LeSTer.
We had our monthly Missionary
Day on Sunday. A very large au
dience was present. The Women
Work presented the pastor with
the sum of $5.10- Afterward the
picture was made of the children
Choir—16 in number. You should
hear these children. They should
be commended.
Since our last Women Work
meeting we was very sadden to
hear of the death of our beloved
National president Sister E. D.
Smith of Oklahoma City. Next
meeting will be at the home of the

Women's Work sponsored a Mis
sionary Day program. Oh what a
time we had in the Lord. It truly
was a day that shall never be for
gotten solos on solos, everything
so timely. Everyone that missed
this program missed a real treat.

who departed this life February
24. 1943. The funeral was held or
March 4. 1943 in Tulsa. Okla. Sis
ter Smith is gone, but not forgot

Pvt. Fred B. Buckner of Camp
Pickett. Va_, was discharged for
War essential work. While here
in the city he visited with his aunt
and uncle Mr. and Mrs. John
Woodson. He left Wednesday
morning to enter the Kaiser ship
yards as a welder in Richmond.
