Now Vitamin Combination Brings Hep
to Childless Homes
Nothing equal* a baby to bring com
plete unity and happiness into the home
and tie husband and wife together in a
stronger bond of enduring love and mu
tual interest. Divorce is rare in the home*
of couples that have children.
Unhappy wives, childless due to relieve,
able functional weakness may now enjoy
the desires and activity of Nature’s m’Jt
wonderful creation—a normal, fully-de
veloped, vigorous woman. A sensational
new vitamin treatment specifically for
women may be just the thing needed by
the childless wife and quickly bring the
happiness of a baby in the home. It is,
of course, absolutely harmless.
If you are childless due to functional
weakness and lack normal vigor—if you
wish to eliminate one of the great causes
of unhappy marriages, by all means try
Perlex for one week. To introduce this
new vitamin combination to a million
women quickly, the Perlex Company,

‘‘Let government stop lynching?
and proscription against the Ne

Turning to the question of lead

need of the moment is for a com

in all walks to pool their thinking
of controversial issues. We are
losing more ground at the present
time because of division in our own
ranks than the opposition is able
to win from us.”
Developing the question of leader
ship further, he classified the pres
ent leadership into four groups:
‘‘1—The Negro who bows and
bends with hat under his .arms in
the presence of white people; lying
about conditions and what lies in
his own heart because he wants
something from the whites believ
ing that is the way to get it-he
is vicious.
‘2.—Another is a slightly less ob
jectionable type; he is just tired of
the struggle. He feels that he- is
outnumbered, overpowered and that
the be3t thing tor him is to close in
with some kind of bargain that con
signs him to an inferior position in
Amrrican life. In other words, he
is willing to become a second clas^
citizen, freed of further work a; id
the active responsibilities of full
democracy. He is what is popul

This Five-Star Economy Soup
Utilizes Left-Over Vegetables
OUGH shortages and quotas
nay make it impossible for
some of us to get all we want of
our favorite beverage, there's no
limit to the makings of good, hot
soup. And a dish of soup enriched
with milk and vegetables adds not
only heartening warmth but valu
able nourishment to any meal.
This type of soup is economical,
too. for you can utilize left-over
vegetables to give flavor to a cream
soup foundation. You’ll be sure of
a five-star result if you thicken the
soup with quick-cooking tapioca,
for It insures a velvety smooth
texture.
An appetizing garnish increases
the appetite value of any soup.
Don’t forget that slices of stale
bread can be the makings of
glamorous croutons. Cut them in
varied shapes to give them added
interest. They are just as good
browned in the oven as in the fry

make no demands on your precious
store of butter or other shortening.
