FOR THI ACHFCA AWAITS BIGGEST CONTINGENT OF WAACS (Continued from page 1) The recreation hall has six game rooms and one large recreation hall with alcvcs on either s'de. A l*ost, Exchange Counter is adjacent where soft drinks and refreshments are served. WAACS WILL KEEP WARM The quarters of the WAACS are not like those of the Enlisted Per sonnel of the Fort as they have double heating units and there is three times the output of heat as in the enlisted men's barracks. Some enlisted men are now "sing ing the blues" as the WAACS have quarters that far surpass theirs in many respects, such as French doors, built in bath tubs, individual wash basins and stands and several other items. WAACS GET BEAUTY PARLOR The Post Exchange not wanting to be outdone in trying to make th^ | WAACS feel at home in their new ) surroundings, has installed in o”'1 : of the recreation rooms a twelve : chair beauty salon. Complete i‘ every detail this modern salon con tains individual washstands, auto- j matic dryers, and booths for facials and massages. This salon is t'-O | envy of all the women of Fort Hu achuea. QUARTERMASTER DETACH MENT HAPPY The Quartermaster Detachment, SOU, is now the happiest bunch of soldiers in the world, as their bar racks are adjacent to those of the WAACS. They thought there wag no excitement in store for them when they moved ‘‘On the Outskirts of Town " but now they find it was worth their "Waiting Round.” HEAD The We Offer for Y«ur Approval A Complete Curtain Service and Another thing,— Have Your Dry Geaning Done Now! —Cash and Carry Discounts— EBHOLM&SHERMAN 2401 North 24th Street WE. 6055 , Lost, a cough due to a cold—thanks to the sooth ing action of Smith Brothers Cough Drops. There's no reason to guess about lighting. If you aren't sure about how well your present lighting is guarding the "eye safety" of your family, ask for reliable, scientifically accurate information to- i day. We have a very young dau ghter and he also says that he does lot need her either. I don’t kno.v vhat to think of a man like that. Please tell me what I must do. I im leaving him. I wish there were some way I could win his affection (.gain. Ans: After falling in love ,a man loesn’t suddenly fall out without lome good reason. You say chat •ou don’t understand a man like ;hat. But what effort have you nade to hold his love and keep him latisfied with his marriage? From >1 ery indication, you have let the ■hild come between you and your lUsband. You seem to think that ;he fact that you bore the child nakes it yours alone.... . .rather ;han sharing it with your husband, fou shut him out and turn all /our ittention from him to the baby. He laturally in turn feels that he is lot necessary to your happiness or hat of the child’s either. Why not nake a right-about-face and change <our attitude? Share the joy of the >aby with your husband. W.V.—Where I am working here are two men who work with ne and they do everything they can. o make me lose my job. Our boss nan likes me fine but I don’t like o work where I am in such a (train. Should I give up this job? ■ have been a good liver since work ng here. Ans. There is no reason for you ■o give up a good job because these ellows don’t like you. For you to iuit is what they want so they step nto your job. To please your boss s the main essential_but to earn to get along with your co vorkers is mighty important, too >fake it a point to use your influ nee in their favor occasionally and hey will soon begin to appreciate •our efforts. N. B. J.—I am in love with a sold er and I love him more than he ' uiows. I have been true to this olow. Last night when he came I o my house he blew up and said he i ould not trust me any more and wasn’t interested. I love him verv much and I want to know if he lov es me and if I can win him again. Ans: For weeks, this soldier has been thinking and dreaming of the warm reception you would give him when he visited you. Imagine what a blow it was to him to find another soldier cutting in. The least you could have done was to keep your week end free for him, even tho’ this other fellow meant nothing to you. In normal times, this little ‘trying to make him jeal ous” gag may have been all right. _ but it is taking an unfair advant age of him since he doesn’t have the opportunity to play the game. I think you owe him a letter of ex planation and apology. Inexperienced—I am a young piss of 17 and very confused. Should I do what my present boy friend wants me -to do or should I go on the way I am? He has done every thing except get on his knees and he would do that if he thought it would do any good. I love him very much and he also loves me I think. If he doesn’t.then he is playing the part perfectly. So far, I haven't always had the cour age to say "no” and I wonder what the results would be should I say "yes?” Ans: What the results would be would cover a wide territory. namely, the loss of your reputation and this boy’s respect, the possibil ity of a child born out of wed lock, the shame and humiliation you must experience after cheapening yourself, and before long.the loss cf a boy friend. B, tier to take a decided stand and let this bo> knw you mean it rather than al lowing him to continue trying tc persuade you. His powers of pc suasion are strong. But you ma t use your powers of resistance just as strongly. W. L.—For the past two years w\ son’s wife’s folks have been trying to get them to come over in th county to live. They claim th there is plenty of work over there to do and he could farm a id dn b ter than he can here. Was th - just a trick of theirs to get him over there to work for them ? Ana: Their main object was of course to get their daughter nearer home. But they are not trying to profit from your son’s efforts. There was no trickery involved with this change. He felt that he would like to go where he could make the best livng for himself and his wife. To keep the respect of your son, you must respect his wife and his own judgement. FLAG DEDICATION AT ST.
