PLEASE NOTE...
If you plan to add gas space [
heating appliances in your home. I
• Since May 15, War Production Board Order No. ,
L-31 has placed limitations on the additional use oi
gas lor space heating. Many of our gas users have I
Inquired about adding gas space heating appliances |
(such as radiant lires, gas heating stoves, fireplace |
logs, etc.) to supplement their regular heating plants.
The District does not connect or service gas appli- ^
ances of this type, and does not recommend their I
use. Unless very carefully handled they are not com* j
pletely satisfactory and may, under some conditions,
actually be unsafe. We advise you not to install them
as supplemental sources of heat. _____ __
This advice, of course, does not apply to the thou
sands of properly installed central gas heating in
stallations now in use in the city. It applies only to
supplemental gas space heating appliances.
