Glover, age 58 from Joseph Lewis
Mortuary. Mrs. Glover passed a

days illness.

husband, Joseph Glover, three dau
ghters, five sons, ten grandchildre"
three sisters, one from Nashville,
Tenr.., two from Chicago, one bro
ther from New Albany, Ind. and a

was grand. Our pastor being out

Eiwood, Kansas. Claimed she had
a grand time.
Sunday night we had lovely serv

and Evangelist Marie Wright also
prearched. Both were full of fire.
One was added to the fold. We
thank God for him.
Rev. S. K. Nichols by request is
running a 10 day revival for our
Bishop F. C. Scott in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma.
Our Evangelist Marie Wright of
2520 North 25th St., has returned
from her trip to Witchita, Kansas,
where she ran a revival claimed it
was very successful.

ly missed by the 4C’s Softball team
which he managed for 4 years, and
by his many other friends and base
ball fans.
OMAHA PRIVATE TO OFFICERS
TRAINING SCHOOL
Out of 196 soldiers to take an in
telligence test at Camp Rucker,
Alabama, only 8 passed. Pvt. Ben
ny Gray Jr., of Omaha, was one of
the lucky eight. He has been trans
ferred t° the Officers’ Training
School at Fort Bennjng, Ga. Upon,
his graduation he will be rated as a
Technician Sgt. His mother Mrs.
Marie Gray, 3011 Miami St., receiv
d a letter from him recently say
ing that he would probably join
them in Calif-, on or around New
Year’s on a brief furlough
Mrs. Ben Gray has receiveo word
indirectly from her son Staff Sgt.
Delvin Gray who is somewhere ov
erseas, his exact whereabouts as
yet unknown. A white army offic
er sent word to Mrs. Gray through
his wife that he had seen Sgt. Gray
and that he was doing fine, and not
to worry about him. Mrs. Gray
was very pleased to hear this news
even though it was indirect as it is
the first time she has heard any
thing at all of her son since he sail
ed sevral months ago.
Miss Maxine Brown, 2402 Blondo
St., passed away Saturday evening,
Oct. 3 at a local hospital after a
lingering illness. At this w-riting
funeral arrangements have not been
completed.

Mr. W. M. McGary of Kansas city,
Kansas was the guest of Mrs. Bea
trice Gray, 2210 North 27th Ave., on.
Saturday. Mr. McGary returned to
his home Saturday evenings.
