There will be healing each night at the Church of the Living God. 1906 No. 24th St. BROTHER DIES Mrs. Paul Barnett, of 2709 Wirt Street, accompanied by her sister Mrs. Alma Gibson, had a hurried call last week to visit a seriously ill bro ther, Arthur Allen, of St. Paul, Minn., who passed away there on Tuesday. April 28th Mr. Allen, a former Omahan, was very prominent both in the business and social life of that city. BETHEL AME. CHURCH Rev. B. E. Jones, Pastor A beautiful Midget Wedding was given by the Mite Missionary Soc iety of Bethel AME. Church- There were 11 brides and their attendants The brides wore beautiful little white formals and white veils. Each carried a boquet of flowers. Then attendants wore formals of diffei ent colors which made a very pretty picture. The flower girls were lit tle tots carrying baskets of rose petals. The groom Leon Carter and the best man Leroy Paige were dressed in Tuxedos. The Preacher, Chester Scott, was also in full dress. The brides parents were dressed like grown ups. The church was beautifully dec orated with an arch in the middle covered with roses. The bride bring ing in the largest amount of money was married and also given first prize. All of the brides did well. The largest amount of money was $27.45 brought in by little Elaine Embrev of Bethel AME. Church. She received first prize and also a husband. The second prize was won by little Helen Jean Gray of the Primitive Baptist Church. The third prize was won by Little Joyce Rogers of Zion Baptist Church. After the wedding those taking part were given a re ption. ice cream and cake was served. We wish to thank the public fer such a large attendance. You are always welcome at Bethel.
