STORY ENTERTAINS PASTORS’ WIVES With a Pre-Easter party in the dining hall of Cleaves Temple CME. Church, Mrs. Lottie P Story entertained the Interdenom inational Pastors’ Wives Council at the regular meeting Wednesday afternoon, April 1. The program with Easter as the central theme, included: devotions by Mrs. Mary Reynolds, chaplain; piano soios, Mrs. Thelma Stams; vocal solos by Mrs. Oda L. Mosely, Mrs. Ruth J Hubbard, and Mrs. Hazel Reynolds poem, Mrs. Isabel T. Ridley; short; talk, “Holy Wednesday”, Mrs. Hat -tie Adams; roll call, “Easter”. An Easter dinner was then serv ed to the members who were seat ed around the table which held a beautiful centerpiece of spring flowers. Mrs. Clara Williams, President. COUPLE ENTERTAINED AT BUFFET LUNCHEON Mrs. Belzora Collins of 2622 1-2 Erskine St„ was hostess at an Easter Egg Hunt and Buffet luncheon Sunday April 5th, honor ing her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Valder James Rat liff, who recently returned from Brooklyn, New York, where they spent the past two and a half years. The guest arrived at three o’ clock and an outdoor easter egg hunt enlivened the occasion and whetted the appetites of everyone for the buffet luncheon that was prepared and served in Mrs. Col lins’ own inimitable style. After the hunt prizes were a warded to Mrs. Robert Hammonds and Mrs. Selma Clark who tied in finding the most eggs. Mrs. Clark, then made the announcement and read the marriage license of the Ratliffs which stated that Misa Estella Robertson and Mr. Vaider James Ratliff were married at Papillion, Nebraska, February 20, 1937. She further announced that although Mr. and Mrs. Ratliff had been married for five years, they were unable to pnjoy their honey moon until nearly three years later when they went to New York. They returned to Omaha because of the illness of Mr. Ratliff’s mo ther, Mrs. F. E. North, who is ;n the hospital awaiting an operation. One of the most delicious menus of all times was enjoyed by the -15 guest who attended. Those who assisted Mrs. Collins in service were Mpsdamps: Selma Clark, Es sie Porter, Gladys Gordon, Rose Ellis, Emma Knight, Josephine Brown, Dorothy North and Anne Mary Kennedy.
