PAGEANT OF NATIONS
BY NEBRASKA UNITED
USHER BOARD—
Plans are taking definite shape
for our mammoth “Pageant of
Nations” to be given on Thursday
May 29th at Zion Baptist Church
in which we hope to have fifty or
more participants.
In connection with the pageant
there will be a vocal contest for
Juniors and Seniors in High
schools. The Winners will be giv
en the trip to the National con
vention in Los Angeles, where, if
a winner,h e or she will receive
a 1100 00 scholarship applicable to
a school of their choice. This
feature alone on the above even
ing will be worth your admission
price of 15 cents.
One will also approximate 30
or 40 ushers in their full uniforms
on parade in drills.
There will be the Crowning of
Miss America, as the winner hav
ing sold the highest number of
tickets.
Who will she be?
Prominent persons will have
parts in the pageant.
So, dear Mr. and Mrs. Public,—
please support this big effort of
the ushers and usherettes of our
churches.
The annual Sermon of the Usher
Board of Mt Calvary Community
Church will be June 1 at 3 p. m.
All Boards know your duties!
It seems that we owe the Beth
el Baptist Usher Board our do
nations, as they were having their I
Annual Sermon on the first Sun
day. Since it is our policy to not
ify at least each Usher Board or
president, even, if the state presi
dent wasn’t officially notified, nei
ther the secretary or absence can
be explained. To, Mr. Anderws,
I wish to say, please see to it that
notices are sent out at least two
weeks before, as you know some
of the locals only meet twice a.'
month.
To Bethel Baptist Ushers, we
want you to know that we ar3 in
terested in your programs; r.hat
your support and cooperation is I
appreciated; but your attendance
al our regular and cabinet meet
ings will clear up a lot of matters
that appear rather cloudy. Come

Woman Praises Mme. C.J.
Walker’s Preparations
(
4 “I use Mme. C. J. Walker’s
preparations exclusively be
cause I get results from them
that I am unable to get from any
other preparation,” stated a well
known business woman the
oth^r day.
The secret of the remarkable
success of Mme. C. J. Walkers
preparations is in the fact that
they were blended by the late \
Madam C. J. Walker to reach i
certain definite conditions of the I
hair, skin and scalp, and today,
after over thirty-five years on
the market, they are growing
increasingly popular, and not
withstanding the fact that the
Company has always refused to
reduce the price on these goods,
they are still in demand every
where.
I> Mme. C. J. Walker’s Glossine,
although more than thirty-five
years on the market, is still the
leader in its field. The reason
for this is because it not only
serves as a scalp oil, but it gives
the hair that silky sheen and
natural gloss that is the delight
of every woman.
Mme. C. J. Walker’s Brown
Face Powder is not just another
Face Powder, but is the result of
years of experimenting to pro
duce the perfect blend to impart
a velvetlike softness and at the
same time cooling and refresh
ing. Just the thing for these hot
days.
The Mme. C. J. Walker’s won
derful preparations are sold by
Walker Beauticians and Drug
Stores everywhere, or you can
write The Mme. C. J. Walker
Mfg. Company, direct. Address:
The Walker Building, Indian
aoolis, Indiana.
