The cost reduction is in conformity with the policy of the District to cut the price of gas to its customers whenever conditions war ranted. This policy has resulted in TWELVE COST REDUCTIONS SINCE 1920! Omaha has the LOWEST Manufactured GAS RATE in the Nation! your husband and be a better ino. ther to these children. Ans: Well—I am afraid tha.t you THREE had better get togeth er and work this problem out. They both care for you and since you can’t make up your mind which one you like the best---con tinue on with both of them as you are doing and by next summer you will make a decision. ****** L. M. H-— Since my girl pal and I are not friends as we once were I don’t have as many boy friends. Has this girl been saying things about me? Will I find a nice friend soon. Ans: This girl friend of yours had nothing to say about your character—she still admires you very much. It just happens that a girl cannot enjoy herself as much when she doesn’t have friends as she can when she has friends. Make up with the girl it will improve both your chances to meet nice boys. It will be a couple of years before you find the boy you want for a husband— get out and have some fun. ****** A. L. The Palmer Hornets held the Silver City Trojan in a triumphant home coming ijame, 31-0 at Grant field. During the first half, pretty Caroline Jordan, pictured above on the perch of the float was crawn ed Miss Homecoming. One of the most important of the, day’s events was the spectacular parade of class floats, handsomely attired and decorated with everything from a covered wagon to a mimic hearse to cany the losing team off the field. Alumni far and near came to •be with their alma materig on the important day. Among those ores ent who Were introduced at the supper in Kimbell Hall, after the tgame were, Miss Victoria Cordice, Miss Minnona Gomes> Mr. Herbert Wilson. To top off the day, Palmer’s charming President, the First I>ady of Social Graces^ Charlotte Hawhins Brown, spoke a hearty wel come to the graduates and hoped mwe will come mxt year. He didn’t know which one was hers so he left his respect at both apartments He won’t be - showing himself ar ound there anymore—he’s long gone. ****** N. B.—This boy I met recently asked me for a date and then stands me up. Tell me does he care for me as I care for him ? What is wrong as I like him a darn lot. Ans: Too bad—he doesn’t feel the same way about you. He ask ed you for a date merely to find out if you would allow him to come to see you—he isn’t interested as he stands you up each time you give him permission to visit you. Don't continue to let him embar rass you in such a manner as he has recently. ***** R. M. C-—Will I make a success ful singer? How and when should 1 go about it as I am very inter ested along this line? Ans: I feel that you have tal ent. The discussion by Rev Og lesby and ex-Policeman Thomas, and Mr. Grant Parker were very interesting. The Low Wage and Unemployed Worker's blame the commercial and industrial places for not hiring a certain percentage of our people in their employment. We helped to build this country to what it is today in the so-called land of the free and in which every man is supposed to be equal. We are so divided and oppressed — we must unite together in one body- A part of our fault lies on some of our leaders and some of the leading politicians and we nope that someday they will see their mistakes and bring thing's to the light. People seeking Old Age As sistance, ABC. and Rlelief should attend these meetings. The Dou glas County Relief is inadequate. We advise every member of our race to take the Guide paper : nd read our article every week about our meetings which are held or —-—-— —----~ Mondays at 8 p. m. Visitors are always welcome.
