C. K.—I wrote a song this sum
mer but haven’t received an answ
er where I sent it. Tell me if I
have wastd my money?
Ans: Yes, I am afraid that you
have. Writing songs Isn't as easy
as it seem to be—don’t v’aste too
much of your time in this field.
Study and prepare yourself for
something that you knbw will reap
results. I suggest the undertak
ing business.

A. D. W.—Is It true that a spell
have been put on me to make me,
drink so or is it just a habit and I
keep drinking. Will I come to
any harm and lose my health if I
keep it up?
Ans: No spell has been put onj
you—you can stop this drinking
if you really want to. I do think
that you should drink moderately
if you drink at all—the way you
are acting you are bound to get in
serious trouble and ruin your
health too. Don’t let it go to
your head—take a drink and leave
it off for you aren’t happy or even
sociable at all when you get drunk.
It's treacherous stuff—it’s a dan
gerous too.

H. G. C.—My problem I suppose
is common but it does hurt a mo
ther who has tried to bring a dau
ghter up right. What must 1 do
since she has gotten into this con- r
dition? I have the money and I
want your help.
Ans: My dear Friend, I am
sure that it would be to your ad
vantage to have a quiet ceremony
and then move with your daughter
out of the state entirely. You
certainly do not want her to live
with the man for you realize fully
that she wouldn’t be happy. I
suggest that you see that they
are married right away and leave
—it would be better for all con
cerned. W’ait a year or two be
fore she gets her divorce.

B. C. L.—I’ve planned for four
teen months to take a trip this
coming September and I wish to
know if I will be successful ?
Ans: With all your plan mak
ing, you failed to save the neces
sary money. How can you make
the trip without it? Don’t de
pend on your Uncle or your boss
man or the certain other gentle
man for financial help for you
will be disappointed.
M. P. B.—I made an error since
I’ve been married and my husband
says he can’t trust me and can't
forget it either. He doesn’t al
low me any privileges whatever.
Must I separate and will I be able
to get my job back or not?
Ans: Stick to your husband
and make him trust you again.
You did do a terrible thing and
surely you must realize that ii
will take a long time for him to
get over it. He's fine and I do
hope that you are able to wlork out
your problems successfully for you
wouldn’t be happy without him.
You two must plan to go out to
gether more often, so that you’ll
nort; have so much time at home to
fuss.

G. B.—Will I make a success in
life if I do as my mother has ad
vised me to do this coming fall?
Ans: Yes—you certainly will.
She realizes that you would make
an expert nurse with the Proper
Training and she is most anxious
for you to begin your study this
fall. By all means do as she ad
vises for she wants you to become
independent and happy.

Woman Praises Mme. C.J.
Walker’s Preparations
* "I use Mme. C. J. Walker’s
preparations exclusively be
cause I get results from them
that I am unable to get from any
other preparation.” stated a well
known business woman the
other day.
The secret of the remarkable
success of Mme. C. J. Walker’s
preparations is in the fact that '
they were blended by the late
Madam C. J. Walker to reach
certain definite ccuditions of the
hair, skin and scalp, and today,
after over thirty-five years on
the market, they are growing
increasingly popular, and not
withstanding the fact that the
Company has always refused to
reduce the price on these goods,
they are still in demand every
where. (
• Mme. C. J. Walker’s Glossine,
although more than thirty-five
years on the market, is still the
leader in its field. The reason
for this is because it not only
serves as a scalp oil, but it gives
the hair that silky sheen and
natural gloss that is the delight
of every woman.
Mme. C. J. Walker's Brown
Face Powder is not just another
Face Powder, but is the result of
years of experimenting to pro
duce the perfect blend to impart
a velvetlike softness and at the
same time cooling and refresh
ing. Just the thing for these hot
days.
The Mme. C. J. Walker’s won
derful preparations are sold by
