The aim of this course is “To study these messages in order to know their meaning and value for our time.” The Prophets were more than , Divine foretellers of future events, they were spokesmen for God h, men. They were statesmen for God to men. Their messages were not merely isolated discussions of re ligion but they were full of in terest in social, political and eco nomical conditions of that period. There were evils of selfishness, greed, poverty and injustice then as there are now. Problems of in dependent nationalism and foreign alliances existed then as now. Amos, Isaiah, Nieah and others carefully observed all of these things and they spoke against all individual and social sins without compromise. The examples of the prophets present inspiration to our minis ters of today to know the condi tions and to tell us in bold terms, what the Lord requires of us in a world of sin, war and domestic unrest. ■m Be your own boss.. plenty agents make up to $5.00 day spare time, $45.00 week full time with our guaranteed line of cosmetics, medicines, curios, jewelry.
