LOUIS, MO wmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmF* ' nent disability is almost self ex plantory. The word total means all or entirely. The word perma nently means forever. The word' Tsability means unable to work! or do something. Therefore the phase total and permanent disa bility means a workman who, by reason of an accident, has become entirely incapacitated from do ■ ing any kind of work. When a workman b comes to tally and permanent disabled by reason of an accident at work, his employer must pay him two third® of hi/* weekly wages not to exceed $15.00 par week. In other words the most money a disabled worgim.an can receive is $15.00 per w,eek. This i« paid t-> him for a period of 300 weeks. At the end of the 300 week period, the workman then re ceives 45 per cent of his wages not to exceed $10,000 per week iior the rest of his life. In addi tion to this the employer must pay all of the doctor, hospital bill* and medicine bills that the injured employee accumulates as a result of his accident and in jury. It will be noted that a work men’s compensation is based on a percentage of his wages. Oc casionally we find a workman getting an exceptionally low wages ai-e $6.00 per week or cr less. In such cases where the wages are $6.0Q per week or less, then the injured workmen gets the full amount of his low weekly wage rate during the time set out in the law. Next week/s article will deal w th workmen who have been injured, but the injury has only left them partial disability -oOo NINA MAP MrKLNNEY TO LEAD OWN BAND New York (C) (Exclusive) — What crlglY well be considered News with a capital N is the rev | elation that Nina Mae McKinney, New York’s Number One glamour girl is to lead her own band This news was obtained in a ex clusive interview with Ben Bart, a representative of the Param ount Artists Bureau, 565 Fifth Avenue.
