Bringing the question closer home, he said he was happy over the fact that Wiley College had been successful in raising the first $600,000 unit for endowment without which, in these times, the ir.st’tution would hardly be able .o operate on its acustomed high level. He referred to the fact that all educational institutions are more or less hard pressed finan cially and are having to restrict their activities in the disburse ment of student aid funds. The ne ' for rich assistance has great ly increased, thus complicating the problem. Plans are being consi red at Wiley for the beginning of a movement to create a fund to be devoted especially to th:s purpose.
