these young women left Saturday

Francisco.
They will make their return
trip in the fall via the Southern
route anil take in New Orleans,
La., and several Texas cities.
These young women spent the
day in Omaha with Miss Vera
Chandier’u people. Miss Anderson
is very well acqua'nted with Miss
Vera Chandlers as they were both
working in the game school last
school year. She speaks very
highly of the work done by Miss
Chandler.

OMAHA
Dr. L. G. Patterson, Physician
of Memphis, Tenn., was a visitor
in tho city over the week-end. He
visited the Elks Club Monday
night accompanied by Mr. Billy
Davis, who introduced him to the
members of the club and other
guests present Dr. Wilkerson is
enroute to his home in Memphis,
Tenn, from California where he
has been visiting the San Francis
co Fair and friends in many of the
California cities.

Mr. Samuel Bush, Los Angeles,
California, n former re ident of
this city, is here visiting his
children, Miss Marie Bush and
Mrs Orine Kelly. Mr; Bush has
been living in I^os Angeles for a
bou, twelve years. He lived in O
maha and Nebraska almost fifty
years.
Mr. Bush called at The Omaha
Guide office and ubseribed for the
paper for a month. He will be in
tho city indefinitely, but expects

Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Gray of
2230 Willis, returned from a trip
to St. Louis. They stopped in
Keopuk, Iowa and picked up Mrs.
Hedge as she was taking the trip
with them. They visited their
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. F. B. Clay of that city.
They witnessed the flood in
Brookville and Hamible, Mo., and
saw water covering houses and
tho siock swimming in the w'ater
and they were only allowed to
drive one mile an hour.

Mrs. Lecoy of 2117 Ohio street,
who is in perfect good health and
was away front her home. Some
enemy sent her son, Richard a
message telling him his mother
was dead and since he was an em
ployee of the U.P. they got in con
tact with him and gave him the
message. He phoned his wife at
onco and told hint the messabe was
untrue. Investigation is being
made to try and find out who is
this enemy.
Mrs. Harry Majors, 2640 Binney
was delightfully surprised with a
house shower given her by her
many friends. She received many
