ELDER LUCY SMITH GOES IN
NEW CHURCH IN CHICAGO,
ILLINOIS
Elder Lucy Smith pastor and
founder of the All Nations Pen
tecostal Church in Chicago, 111.,
went into their new fifty thousand
dollars church Sunday, May 28th,
1939 located at the corner of Vin
cennes and Oakland Boulevard,
The lot is 180 feet front and 159
feet deep. The church is 80 feet
wide and 118 feet in length. The
structure is most beautiful being
built of brick stone. Two steps
wide roomy leading into entrance.
The very latest architectural de
signs for exterior and interior
have been used. The large audi
torium that will seat three or
four thousand is very large with
16 windows of gold blue and red
of georgeous beauty. The choir
stand seats 85. The circular pul
pit seating 10. Added attractive
outside is the tower in four cor
ners in colored glass brick that
will be lighted on the we«t side of
the cfourch. The church is modern
ly equipped with heating, two
large new type lavatories for
women and men. A large base
ment two outside entrances, one
inside entrance of wide long steps.
There is an auto driveway leading
from street in Vincennes side to
an arch at the entrance. That fea
ture is to eliminate exposure to
inclement weather for persons
driving to chuch. Although the
church building it not yet com
pleted on tfhe inside, Elder Smith
and congregation are worshipping
in it, if plans go forward as
planned the church will be dedi
cated in August fully completed.
This grand successful undertak
ing by a woman pastor in these
times ig a victory all to marvel.
Truly the Lord did build the house
and it was not in vain.

Mil CONGRESSMEN SIGN TO
GET ANTI-LYNCHING BILL
ACTION
New York, June 8—A total of
101 Representatives have signed
the Gavagan discharge petition to
have the New York Congressman’s
Anti lynching bill (H. R.—801),
which is supported by the Nation
al Association for the Advance
ment of Colored People, brought
to the floor of the House for a
vote, according to an announce
ment made by the association here
today.
In order to have the bull thus
taken out of the hands of the
Judiciary committee, where it now

sign the petition.
At tihe same time the associa
tion announced that Walter White,
executive secretary of the organi-^
have in mind to give her a good
whipping if I ever catch them
together as I am fed up. Would
she stop then?
Ans: Don't blame the woman
altogether for she doesn't force
him to take up time with her. The
affair is cooling off. Stop aggra
vating him about her and in time
he will give her up. In the mean
time work on your appearance
and clothes, fix yourself up to he
attractive to his eyes. He does
appreciate beauty.

L. P.—Will the people I work
for pay me wrhile they are gone
on their vacation so I will have
the job when they get back?
Ann: Not full pay. The thing
for you to do is to get odd jobs
to do until they return. You can
get your job back when they re
turn.
