DANGER OF NEGLECTED
DANDRUFF
There is nothing mysterious
about dandruff. It is perfectly j
natural and we all are subject to
it. Dandruff is nothing more than
the combination of sebum, dried
skin and foreign matter caught
in the hair from dirt particles in
the air. The sebum or oil is being
continuously discharged by the oil
glands, as Nature intends. The
dried skin is constantly being slo
ughed off by the scalp, and more
or less foreign matter is always
being caught in the hair.
Tho oil, the dried skin and the
foreign matter mix together and
makeup that supposedly mysteri
ous thing called “dandruff.” The
oil glands on one person’s scalp
may be more active than anothers

and therefore, some people have an
oily kind of dandruff, while others
have a dry alaki kind. Regardless
of the type, dandruff is Perfectly
normal.
Let us assure you that there is
no dandruff cure, because dand
ruff is perfectly natural. You can
not stop the oil glands from throw
ing off oil, you cannot stop the
outerlayer of the scalp from peel
ing off, and you cannot keep the
dust from getting into your hair.
So you see, you cannot “cure"
dandruff, for you have no control
over these things which make up
dandruff.
Many people think dandruff is
an alarming “disease" caused by
somo “dandruff germ” These are
imaginary evils for no dandruff
germ has ever been discovered.
Common sense, as well as science,
tells us that a condition like dand
ruff, common to almost everyone
cannot be a disease.”
More than 38 years ago it was
discovered that the one way to
remove dandruff was to DISOLVE
it. And remember—your dandruff
will return. This is because dand
ruff is a natural accumulation, and
a week or ten days after you sham
poo, enough dandruff will again
accumulate to require another
shampoo. To keep your scalp clean
and healthy, get a shampoo every
two weeks or ten days.

DES MOINES LAD
STEALS SHOW
,Bj Billy Davis
Carroll Heath aliaa Jack Gans)
of Dcs Moines who is a middle
weight fighter put up one of the
greatest and gamest fights that
has been seen in Om-'iha for a
long time. He also fought a very
good boy who was right in there
throwing plenty fist from the be
ginning of tho bell. Little Jack
Cramer whom Gans knocked down
lour times doing the fight was
very game. He tried to keep on
fighting after being floored. It was
too much Gans from the 2nd round
on. Cramer started right at Jack
witih a rush, when the first bell
rang. The crowd were on their
toes yelling for Cramer. But cool
c / n, Gans just let Cramer keep
on rushing him. And tying him at
’1 times. Then after Cramer had
began tiring. Jack turned on the
steam. He hit Cramer with a
stiff right to the head in the third
round that sent him clear across
tho ring. Where ho landed on the
canvas with his eyes glaring at
tho stars from then on it was
Gans all the way until Referee
Fidler had to stop the fight be
cause Cramer was badly beaten.
This fight was the best fight on
tho card. In the finals, Vinciquerra
knocked out old Charley Belanger,
the Canadian champion in the first
round. It looked as if the novice
were fighting. The knockout was
very much disliked by the fans.
