by Mrs. Steward reading the
Apostle’s Creed. At our next meet
ing, Christmas gifts will be ex
changed among the members. We
will celebrate Mr\ M. Steward’s
birthday. The club will also present
her with a gifit.

Athletic Round Table Club held
its first social meeting Friday Dec.

Eloisc Erampton was the happy

Frances Ruth Childs went the
booby award.
Tryouts for the operetta "The
King Sneezes,” which will go into
rehearsal early in January, will
be held for girls at 3 p. m. Tues
day D< -ember 27th and for boys
at the same hour on Wednesday.

ucational as well as pleasurable toys
and games were brought by the
guests as their ticket of admission.
These toys and games will go into
the baskets for those less fortu
nate that the Charity club gives
at Christmas time in order that
tho children will know that Santa
has not forgotten theim.

and stately gleaming with glisten

school group, and different color

MINUTE MEN’S CLUB
The Minute Men’s Club met Sun
day afternoon December 18 at the
beautiful homo of Mr. and Mrs.
I. S. McPherson, 1712 N. 28. The
meeting was well attended by both
men and women. This club was
founded for the purpose of helping
to rumove the debt from St. Johns
AME Church. When it was formed
| it c onsisted of men only, but re
cently a ladies auxiliary was form
ed. and their cooperation has meant
