Education l.as a great effect up
on the human race, trainning does
not change the human substance,
but it produces marvelous effect,
revealing all the latent, virtues in
human capacities. No matter how

THE MAKCH OF MANY FEET
—By W. L. Moody—.
Tho begnnning of the past two
weekg have marked the opening
of public schools throughout the
country. Many boys and girls who
have enjoyed the pleasures of th©
I playgrounds, sand lots, Youth
camps and vjacation trips have
found themselves called by either
the literal or projverbial school
“gong.”
Instead of appying the Master’s
words ‘Come ye apart in a desert
place and rest awile,” we are sum
moned to “Come and learn.” We
hope each student in all of our
institutions, from kindegarten to
University will do his or her best
that their education may serve it»
purpose.
Une prophet said that “know.,
ledge shall increase.” This is not
only true, but the opportunities
for that increase of knowledge has
also increased. Every man and wo
man who desires may learn too.
There are various opportunities as
those at YWCA, the Urban League
and Central High School where
every adult who wants to learn
may do so. If you fetl an urge to
answer that old response to the
school bell, go to one of the
schools and increase your know
ledge about worthwhile subjects.
Put your two feet in the march
with many feet and let us go
forward towardi the heights iof
learning. You are never too old
to learn, if you feel that way, then
ycu are mentally dead. Don’t die
before your time comes.
