Mrs. Crawford is the Girl Reserve Secretary of the Branch. Elsie Mallory and Helen Brad shaw represented the Girl Reserve Department of the Northside Brani h at the G. R. Conference held at Camp Brewster, June 20 25. The Ccnferencce as reported by the girls, was a very' sueess ful affa ir. All club work for the summer has ended, with the exception of the Trojan girls who are making draperies for the “Y”, as their donation for the “Y”, until Sep tember. Tho Arnual Spring Party of the Quack Club was held on Monday, June 20th at the Rosebowl Ball room witih ; Approximately 500 guests enjoying the music of Lloyd Hunter’s Orchstra, It was a beau tiful affair. The Sta.v-at-Home Camp is progressing very nicely under the leadership of volunteers, namely; 1 Misses Dorothy Beck, Oro Lee Britt, Doris Newland, Mary Harris, Ti resa Curry, Bernice Grice Mary i Moore, Mrs. JeanChew. Mrs. L. j C. Crawfoi d and Mrs. Ella Mills Haynes. The group mets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The St. ry Telling groups meets on Thursday and both groups meet from 9 a. m. to 12 a. m. The groups close on July 15 with a very unique program arranged and an exhibit by the sewing department. The Misses Elsie Mallory and Helen Bradshaw returned the morning of June 27th from the YWCA Girl Reserve Conference. Miss Elsie Mallory, 14, is vice president of '(the 'Junior-Senior Club, and Miss Henelen Bradshaw 15, is president of the Soph-more Club. There were three other col ored girls at the conference. They were: Miss Jacquiline Young and Miss Eugenb. Simm from Lincoln, Nebraska, and Miss Zelma Strawn ’ fro St. Joseph, Missouri. Miss Elsie Mallory did her shar in making camp enjoyable by con tributing a poem entitled, “To Brewster,” which appeared in the camp paper.
